This experience gives you the opportunity to hunt a meat hog at Hog Wild, just outside Mayerthorpe, Alberta, with guides and side-by-side access included.
Once your boar is harvested, the BORN team handles the butchering. You’re welcome to participate and learn the process, but you are not required to. The goal is simple: a real field experience, a clean harvest, and a direct connection to the food you take home.
Instead of paying full price for a whole boar and figuring out the butcher, pickup, and product use on your own, this structure keeps the experience accessible, practical, and supported from start to finish.

Can I stay in my own tent at Hog Wild?
Yes
What if I shoot a boar but it's not recovered?
This is very rare because we're able to get close to the hogs before shooting. If you wound an animal non-fatally and it's not recovered, that counts as your hunt. You can purchase additional boars anytime.
How many people will be hunting at a time?
There will be up to 5 hunters in the side by side, but only one will be actively hunting a boar at a time. When a hunter harvests a boar, the next hunter becomes the active shooter.
How much are hog hides and skulls?
Our wild hog hides are incredible. Tanned in house, and customized to your liking from lined to mounted and more. They start at $450. Our wild hog skulls are prepared as Euro mounts, and mounted to your specifications. You choose the materials. These start at $200.
How long does it take to hunt a boar?
Nearly everyone will harvest their boar in the first day of hunting. If you're not successful on your first day, you're welcome to stay the night and hunt another day. If you harvest your first boar and want to do another hunt, you can buy an additional boar at that time pending availability of spots.
